Sharon Guilford, CPM
Assistant Supervisor of Elections
Sharon has been working in state government for almost 29 years. She also has worked in Liberty County School system and Calhoun County Board of Commissioners. After attending Calhoun Co. High School she attended Florida State University where she earned her Certified Public Manager Certification.
Sharon is responsible for voter registration, maintaining the office's website, training poll workers, conducting candidate workshops and helping candidates with their initial paperwork and reporting. As part of her duties she is allowed to go into the local High Schools to do presentations for the students and register them to vote. She also updates the literature that the office produces such as voter guides, poll worker manuals and candidate paperwork. She has been given the privilege of taking the lead in the Vote in Honor of a Veteran program. She is also responsible for maintaining and upgrading the Voting Machines and Election Night Server so that they are ready for Elections. Sharon also serves as the office's IT person. She also assists the Supervisor with the office budget.
Deputy Supervisor of Elections
Melissa was born in Geneva County, AL and grew up in Holmes County, FL. She is married to Tim Faircloth of Blountstown and together they have four daughters, two son-in-laws and four grandchildren.
She is a graduate of Bethlehem High School in Bonifay, FL and Washington/Holmes Technical Center in Chipley, FL. Before coming to work for the Calhoun County Supervisor of Elections she was employed as the Secretary/Office Manager for the Washington County Extension Service.
Melissa helps with voter registration, address updates, purchasing, pollworker training, voting machine maintenance and felon information. She is instrumental in maintaining the accuracy of the voter registration hard copies. She also produces flyers and newspaper ads. Melissa has many other roles that are too numerous to list. She has been a tremendous asset to this office.
